How do we create a welcoming place in our programs for students with special needs? Through a partnership with a strong parent advocate, a school librarian, and the Center for Engaging Autism, elementary students in an ASD classroom have become regular, engaged media center users. This presentation will present ideas for designing sensory-friendly spaces, programming, and activities and will provide information about resources that are available to help serve all students.
