Building A Computer Science Program Rooted in Equity with AP CSP

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

According to code.org 93% of families want their child's school to teach computer science, but only 40% of schools actually teach it. In this session we will look at a new AP course called AP Computer Science Principles as a place to start or continue to build an equitable CS program in high schools. In this session, participants will experience a model activity that could be used in an AP CSP classroom. From there we will see how AP CSP can be accessible to new CS students (and teachers).
